Our semaphore flag game

Using Semaphore code it is possible to send messages, letter-by-letter, over long distances. Signallers, placed in line of sight of each other, communicate each letter by the position of two flags. They hold their arms just like hands on a clock.

Our Out in the Sticks for Earth Day event, at the Girlguiding Kent East Mystole campsite, gave us an opportunity to try out our Semaphore “escape room” game.

We had lots of fun playing it and the good news is that we’re sharing it with other units very soon.
