A good turn every day
A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself and does a good turn every day.
Good turns are little acts of helping other people. It can be as simple as holding a door open for someone, carrying a bag or lending a pen. Maybe you’ve complimented someone on their work, encouraging them, given them directions or provided an extra pair of hands. Write down your good turns in the boxes, 1 for each day.
Download the record sheet and add your good turns to the squares, as you make your journey through the week.
If you can’t print the sheet at home, you can write your good turns on a sheet of plain paper.
One good turn leads to another.
Our paperchain is made from 3 of each Brownies good deeds over the last 7 days. In this photograph it contains 72 good deeds.
How long can we make our chain?
If we kept adding good deeds each, every week, how far could our paperchain reach? Each good turn we record is worth 10cm, the length of a link in our chain. Bring your good deeds in, every week, or record them when you arrive, so that we can add them to our virtual chain length.
Currently our good deeds have covered:
52.4m
